Hey Everyone! Castle games are really fun in Wizard101, especially if you have a lot of people, but can also be very tricky to win! Today I will be giving you some advice on how to best blend in when playing the tag game! See different ways to dye your clothes to fit the house, things that are flashy and need to be unequipped, and more in order for you to win (or at least be very successful) in tag games! :) What Needs to Be Unequipped1. Mastery AmuletsSome don't realize it, but mastery amulets can be really flashy sometimes! When you equip a mastery amulet, sparkles appear around you in the school's color (life is green, storm is purple, etc) These sparkles can be the thing that catches someone's eye when you're hiding, especially since they are also moving! Be sure to take your mastery amulet off during the game, but if you start PvP, don't forget to equip it again! 2. (Most) WandsIf your wand is a big, colorful one like mine, or one of those big axes, or one with sparkles, I advise you to unequip it! I am unequiping mine because it is big, noticeable, and has many colors which could be spotted. It isn't the most noticeable, but to stay safe it would be best to unequip it. :) 3. PetsOh, the big one. Pets are very easy to see, and should be unequipped at your tag game! There names may not appear above their head, but they are still very recognizable, whether you are making an escape and they are lagging behind, or whether you are standing completely still, and your pet is sitting there dancing. Miss Cookie likes to wag her tail while I am trying to be hidden, so I let her stay at my house with the rest of my pets (as you can see, I have a lot lol). I don't see people often have pets on as I used to, but still, remember: pets are rambunctious, (believe me, XD lol) and it's best not to have them during tag! Blending InLet's say I am going to a tag game at a Botanical Gardens house. I am planning to hide outdoors. What outfits/color dyeing would I recommend? HatsBecause the Botanical Gardens house has lots of woods, green, brown, and black (aka natural colors), I am going to be putting together those color outfits. You can wear green, brown, or black hair as long as the hair isn't too distracting and eye-catching. While it is great to have eye-catching hairstyles, it is not much fun to see a big gobbler or a little fire elf hurdling toward you. I am wearing a green midterm, which is a pretty normal-looking hairstyle that is nice for a castle game party, but not the most distinctive hair, like the gumdrop, which is a bit too flashy in my taste ;) Another great option is a green-dyed elegant hat, as long as your chosen hair (the hair you chose when you created your wizard) isn't too flashy and eye-catching. I have a brown pony tail, which blends in good against a bunch of trees and bushes. If you have something like The Rabbit in My Hat (name from the Crown Shop), you might be more easily noticed. And do you have to do a elegant hat? No! Of course not! Just be sure it is a hat that looks normal and isn't obviously catchy. You can buy hats like this from the Bazaar. RobesOne good robe is my Elegant Outfit, dyed green. Although it has a cape, it blends in well, just like the matching hat. Here's a robe I would not choose. The Soothsayer's Finery has a very noticeable white, and many colors. It does have green, but it can be noticeable if you are standing against a tree or bush in the gardens. Here's another I would not choose, for a reason you probably already know. The bright blue is pretty, but it is really really eye-catching especially in a forest like the Botanical Gardens. You could be in a very good spot, but you will be most likely found easily with this cloak on. Another big no, this vibrant pink. Same reason as the blue one. It is an elegant outfit (very pretty, too), but the pink just isn't working for a Botanical Gardens/woodsy vibe. BootsMost of you thought I'd do the Elegant Footwear, didn't you ;) Well, Senior Novice's Shoes and Elegant Footwear have the same look (scroll down to the pink shoes) but the Senior Novice's Shoes are cheaper, and I wanted to save my single Elegant Footwear pair for the no example so.... bwahaha! Always up to save money! :P Okay, focus now Ali ;) These SN Shoes are a good pick for your boots, as they are normal. I dyed them green to match everything else :) Now this is a maybe. The brownish blackish main part of the boots is fine, but the orange scarf thing doesn't fit well and could be noticeable. But after all, they are shoes, and I bet nobody is going to come up to you and say "Your shoes are very eye-catching." :P A fire elf or gobbler might spot them from far away, though I doubt it. Take your chances if you want :) The pink elegant footwear no example. Now if you dyed these green, they'd work, I just didn't want to spend the gold myself ;) Another no example, for obvious vibrant white.
And... that's it! Now, if you do this will you win every tag game? No, it really depends how well you hide, how many are there, if there are many or any very experienced hiders there, and how long the game was going on before you came along. However, this should help you get an idea of what to wear to the games! Happy hiding! ~ Ali :D
