While in the Bazaar today looking at pet snacks, I saw these mysterious breads. They are rank 0, and have no stat. I was wondering if this was a glitch or what but it's on the wiki... haha! http://www.wizard101central.com/wiki/Snack:Bread
These two links on Central & forums made me laugh...
Nobody has seen the fortified bread though it seems :P I asked on Central if you want to check it out lol http://www.wizard101central.com/forums/showthread.php?484087-Mysterious-Fortified-Bread&p=5420007#post5420007
Have a great day!
I've been wanting to talk about this for a long time but just never got around to it. Between the spring update, school, homework, homework, and homework, I'e never had time to talk about something different from Wizard101 for a change. Are you curious how I run my blog(s)? Are you wanting to start a blog? Here, I'm providing some basic tips and my humble opinions. But, the best tip anyone can give is do what floats your spiral! ;)
1. What's the easiest blogging software?
To be honest, I went about through 10 different website/blog makers, and this one (Weebly) was by far the easiest. I'm a type person who can self-teach myself technology as long as its not overwhelming with too many settings and such. Weebly was just the place for that! I read a lot of reviews saying it was good and easy to use, so I went with it. I made my site in about 2 weeks of summer days (roughly 3 hours a day). For my first time, that's really good. I tried Blogger, but it was confusing. I know a lot of people manage it but it's really not for me. I was going to use it for my Pirate101 site for a change but nah... Weebly is my go-to.
2. What's the hardest part of Weebly?
Sometimes it freezes or lags (especially when inserting photos or YouTube videos; that's why I sometimes just leave a link) if I have W101 running at the same time but that's pretty reasonable. I usually just take screenshots, log off, then post anyways. Also, I had to find out what all the post options and side details and blog sidebar and all that stuff was in the beginning.
3. What's the hardest part of blogging?
Remembering to blog on time - school and homework can get pretty hectic! I get home a lot later (close 2 hours) than last school year. From there, I immediately eat dinner and then off to my long study nights and worksheets!
Finding things to blog about - I'm not a person who will just leave you hanging; I'm determined to find something to blog about. It's not always easy. In those periods of time when there are holidays, Kingsisle as well as other fansites are busy. There are those times when no updates are near and everyone is just crazy busy. I get most of my inspiration from other sites or just thinking about something randomly. That's my creative side ;)
Making sure I include everything - When I blog, I'm time-scrunched and I have to hurry and type/screenshot pretty fast. I usually don't see typos right away or realize I forgot to underline or bold something or add a pic. Most of the time, I don't even go back and re-read. It's a pain to go back and edit but... That's literally how my life is!
4. Why do I blog?
I talk about this more often than not, but it should really be in here! I do it for:
The community - With Wizard101 becoming more and more complex, you guys are more on the search for guides and some websites to read about your favorite game! Even if I am not sharing a guide, I'm sharing my love for W101 and I hope I have helped spread it or helped you introduce it to people in your real life.
Myself - This helps me calm down, relax, and learn so so much. I've met friends and got to have some chats with other people. It is just such a great benefit to me and I am very thankful that I found the KI/gaming world.
Friends and family - My Wizard101 friends as well read this blog, and it's a way for us to memoralize our fun times. In many of my posts they were there behind the scenes of the screenshots! Kudos to you guys and gals!
That's about it. I may make a number 2... what do you guys think?
Cya around the spiral :D

*ignore the sloppy "snowhoppers" in the header lol
Last week I found someone to hatch with for a life pet on Wizard101 Central! I wanted a snowhoppers mainly for a look and some pretty good talents for my level 30 life! I found Autumn who was willing to hatch with me. She was very friendly and cooperative. I arrived a few minutes early and she was already there "afk spinning." Her name on Central I believe is Sophia Deathcaster (will have to double check that) so if you bump into a thread by her be sure to check it out!
I used my normal pet (rescue rover) and the hatch began! Gold was high, but I had a lot so it didn't really matter much to me. Now I have 20,000 which I am going to use in the next couple days... :P
Ahhh they are so cute!
I took a quick stop to the dye shop (for renaming) and then I was off!
They sure do like their cake, pizza, and apples!
Fwi, Baby is the blonde bunny and Cocoa is the chocolate colored bunny :)
I did dancing after I got bored of the maze game, but I couldn't bare seeing the poor bunnies get sad for very long.
Cocoa's face in this picture makes me smile haha!
Before long, I'm at adult!
Let's just say I failed this pretty miserably. I used to be able to do 1 & 2 very well but it's been awhile and I forgot how. Would someone be happy to offer me a tutoring lesson? We can schedule a time to meet ;)
However, derby cheered me up! I got 2nd ;)
ANCIENT! They grow up so fast ;D
Overall, it was super fun to train up a pet again. I'm halfway to epic and seriously can't wait until I can log back on. Homework is killing me! Why do you have to be so time consuming! Ugh! ;( Anyway, if you're reading Autumn, thank you! When we both have gold, I'll definitely hatch again!
See you in the hatchery!
I still often see people questioning monstrology about what is it, what it's good for, and etc. Luckily for you, I've been very busy with this new update! Hopefully now you can understand it a bit better and learn why I love it! Enjoy this monstrology tour of my life as a monstrologist and a few good starter tips and tricks!
I recommend starting out with basic monsters, and then going further. This is what I did:
1) Go for lost souls-- create a few treasure cards and/or house guests (by defeating a monster multiple times you keep getting more monstrology xp)
2) Go for skeletal corsairs-- create a few treasure cards and/or house guests
3) Go for Lady Blackhope-- create a house guest and/or treasure card
4) Go for Rattlebones-- create a house guest and/or treasure card
5) Branch out! Go for more bosses in multiple areas! I find they give you more xp. A few I did were Foulgaze, Melweena Smite, and Sergeant Skullsplitter. You can also go for mobs if you please like field guards, rotting fodders, and scarlet screamers.
6) Try out Sunken City. It's a dungeon but there are multiple monsters there that can't be obtained anywhere else. These are: wrailing wraith, wandering specter, Norton, Paulson, and Grubb.
Big tip to lower level wizards! Don't aim too high because that is a boss/mob you really want to collect animus from! You'll get there eventually!
First of all, get a separate deck for monstrology IF the monsters you are fighting are below your questing level (say you are in Azteca like me going to Unicorn Way... I'd totally say new deck!) You can rename it using the naming button in the top left corner. I am naming this "Wizard City Monster Deck" due to I am going to Unicorn Way and this is for monstrology purposes. Buy any size deck necessary!
This is my deck set-up for now. Later on I'll add blades and traps.
If you're using the test realm, buy the triple animus elixir! So helpful and saves time! Not much either! You can buy a lot with your test crowns!
Extracting lost soul essence! Sorry for the black scribble... the test realm was very noisy haha!
My position XD And my dog...
I love all the funny captions! These are the costs for a treasure card and a house guest for lost soul.
I created a tc! Purely for testing, as this would never be of much use in Azteca! :P
Lady Blackhope and her skeletal corsair! This is an easy way to go for both at the same time rather than doing skeletal corsair mobs and then Lady Blackhope.
Blachope's monstrology page! You need 20 animus and 1000 gold for a summon card and 30 animus and 2500 gold for a house guest.
After a little more farming, I went back to my house. I am going to redecorate this whole house but, I will still set up this area the same! Here is where I have my Rattlebone's duels and trophies.
And back behind all that is the famous monstrodome!
Let me just say this place is pretty cool! I didn't do much in the monstrodome yet, but Blaze Lifehammer has a great video below! 4 Malistaires! :o
The next day I went to Foulgaze! He and his field guard were a small bit of a pain though because the guard put a 80% myth shield on Foulgaze! Argh! I did a feint, but it still didn't do very much and just made my humungofrog a normal hit...
After I had enough animus for a Foulgaze minion, I quickly created it and traveled to my next destination: Melweena Smite! Melweena is a banshee in Firecat Alley that is usually forgotten, but honestly she's cool! Her background was as a public school teacher and Mrs. Smite (or Miss, who knows!) can't stop teaching wizards! :P
Now here's someone different from the previous 2: Seargent Skullsplitter! Easy, cool boss who's a better version of a skeletal corsair. So obviously, he needs a house guest too!
Haha he's in for it! ;)
If you want to find some uncommon monsters, go to Sunken City! I came across wailing wraiths, wandering specters, and Paulson! Sadly I couldn't finish the whole dungeon because my internet went out in the middle lol. I decided to not try until later, as it was obvious my wifi didn't want to cooperate. Also, I was upset, too, because I wasn't far from Grubb! Hmph. Well, I still had a great experience! It was nice to go here again after thousands of years. My by far favorite creatures were the wailing wraiths. Allow me to tell some storytelling... :)
This is the only screenshot I got of these banshees, but I still remember them by it! So, I was a little bored and started making up some little stories. The wailing wraiths's description in the tome says they want to make wizards feel as miserable as they are. It felt like that actually happened! The first two banshees both put death traps on me, while the third one passed. Then, the first (I call this one pink just because it has a pink light when you are choosing who to put a spell on. In no way what I said makes sense but if you try Sunken City you'll see!) did a dark fairy, which did not much damage but still haha. Red (second one) did a fire elf.... bahh. :P But then the third fizzled. Oh poor Third. Poor poor Third. Third doesn't have a color name... Third the number just sticks
When the battle ended, I saw that I had acquired a sundae. Now, why would a banshee give me a sundae? Something tells me it was Third. Third is actually a nice wailing wraith! Once monstrology is live, I will collect more animus so Third and her beloved (but mean) sisters can live in my house! :D It'll bring back fun memories :)
And his mean wailing wraiths. Apparently they are upset I defeated the trio of Red, Pink, and Third. Only way to make them happy is to create house guests of them too... *sigh*
Yay! Good girl, Miss Cookie! :D ;)
Unhappy undead in this tower! The annoying frost beetles!
Bahaha! How much joy a fizzle can bring you!! Am I right, wizards? :D
The second after I took this lovely unicorn screenshot that was casted by Miss Cookie, my internet went out. :( I was enjoying the dungeon, which is something I never imagined. I mean, who loves dungeons?
Anyway, I recommend to anyone to go to SC and collect some animus! It really helps your monstrology gain ranks!
See you around!
